This EP is a class project produced by Colorado State University’s Audio Production and Editing course. The class divides into two groups. Each group records 4-songs for their EP during two live recording sessions inside the CTV Channel 11 studio at CSU. Students are in charge of engineering a single instrument during the recording. Students use the recordings to create their own mixes into a final EP for the bands. The bands choose their favorite mixes which are then mastered by a professional recording engineer. The EP lives here on Bandcamp and in 90.5 KCSU’s local music on-air rotation. The course is led by its founder, Hannah Copeland, who also serves as the general manager of CSU’s campus radio station, 90.5 KCSU.
lyrics
I’m swimming in an ocean sea
Trying to find another person just like me
I see the sunset in the west
The golden colors remind me not to be like all the rest
Make words on paper with my pen
Ink flows like blackened veins, maybe I could draw a friend
I’ll play you in a game of chess
I’ll cry when I lose, I hope you don’t mind I’m such a mess
So when you look up at the stars I hope you’ll find me
and when you taste the ocean breeze you’ll feel my lips on your cheek
Tomorrow in my dreams I’ll find you
I’ll see your hands, your shoes, the color blue, the color blue
If the wind blows too hard I’ll fly away
Maybe I could just get up and go somewhere else someday
I’ll put you inside of my suitcase
Photos and letters and all of the things I’ll take with me to space
So when you look up at the stars I hope you’ll find me
And when you taste the ocean breeze you’ll feel my lips on your cheek
Tomorrow in my dreams I’ll find you
I’ll see your hands, your shoes, the color blue, the color blue
Sometimes I can’t breathe
Miles of water under me
In dreams I’m losing all my teeth
Your fingers help me sleep
oh, oh
So when you look up at the stars I hope you’ll find me
And when you taste the ocean breeze you’ll feel my lips on your cheek
Tomorrow in my dreams I’ll find you
I’ll see your hands, your shoes, the color blue, the color blue
